On November 15th, our company and the Institute of Marine Equipment of Shanghai Jiao Tong University (hereinafter referred to as "the Institute") jointly signed a co-construction agreement for the Joint Research Center of Biodegradable Materials (hereinafter referred to as "the Research Center") at the Shanghai Jiao Tong University Marine Equipment Base, and unveiled the plaque for the center.
Duan Chao, Deputy Secretary of the CPC Si Hong County Committee, Jiangsu Province; Weng Zhenping, Deputy Director of the University Council of Shanghai Jiao Tong University and Executive Dean of the Institute of Marine Equipment, Jiang Ruhong, Secretary of the Joint Directly Affiliated Party Branch of the Marine Equipment Base, Tan Hua and Pan Dongyuan, vice deans of the Institute of Marine Equipment, Yuan Baihua, Director of the Marine Advanced Materials Research Center of the Institute of Marine Equipment, and Professor Zhang Hongbin from the School of Chemistry and Chemical Engineering; Important guests such as Yang Bo, the general manager of Shantou Best Technology Co., LTD., and Luo Chunhua, the general manager of Guilin Electrical Science Research Institute Co., LTD. (Grace), attended the event. Dr. Huang Wenping, the chairman of the company, Dr. Si Peng, the general manager, and several directors and senior executives of the company, along with dozens of others, attended the event.

At the meeting, Secretary Jiang Ruhong delivered a welcoming speech on behalf of the Marine Equipment Research Institute. He said that the research center carries a grand vision, focuses on the core strategic fields of the country, and is committed to breaking through the key "bottleneck" technologies that restrict development. Its significance is self-evident. It is believed that with the collaboration of the local county government and multiple forces, the research center will achieve remarkable results and contribute outstanding strength to the country's scientific and technological progress and industrial upgrading.
Dr. Huang Wenping, the chairman of the company, mentioned in his speech that Xinsiyi Company focuses on the industrial application of bio-based degradable materials. Its main business covers two major business segments: functional biaxially oriented polylactic acid film (BOPLA) and biodegradable modified resins, as well as the fields of bio-based degradable plastic products such as food packaging, preservation, and disposable tableware. The company has reached a strategic cooperation with Shanghai Jiao Tong University and jointly established the "Joint Research Center for Biodegradable Materials". The aim is to integrate the scientific research advantages and industrial resources of both parties in the field of biomaterials, promote technological innovation and industrial upgrading, and it is an important milestone for both parties to actively explore and innovate in the field of biomaterials! The company attaches great importance to technological research and development as well as innovation, and hopes that the cooperation between both sides can produce early and more results, making contributions to sustainable development. He emphasized that with the strong support of all parties, the company, taking functional BOPLA as its featured product, has been deeply engaged in the industry. Through continuous technological innovation and product upgrading, it will provide global customers with more environmentally friendly and healthier bio-based material solutions, jointly building a green Earth and working together to create a bright future!
Dr. Si Peng, the general manager of the company, gave a detailed explanation to the participants on the company's basic situation as well as the cooperation model and operation plan of the joint research center.

Chairman Huang Wenping and Dr. Yuan Baihua signed the co-construction agreement on behalf of Xinsiyi Company and Shanghai Jiao Tong University respectively. Subsequently, the two jointly unveiled the plaque for the joint research center, marking the official establishment of the Joint Research Center for Biodegradable Materials.
Secretary Duan Chao delivered a concluding speech on behalf of Si Hong County. He congratulated the establishment of the research center and expressed his gratitude to the research team for choosing Si Hong County as the first choice for the transformation of scientific research achievements. He encouraged the research team to carry forward the spirit of innovation, continuously create new quality productivity, concentrate efforts on breaking through key core technologies. The county government will provide support and work hand in hand with the research team to strive to stay at the forefront of scientific and technological innovation and jointly set an industry demonstration benchmark.
President Weng Zhenping delivered a concluding speech on behalf of the Marine Equipment Institute. He emphasized China's responsibility and commitment in green development, as well as the high regard that governments at all levels have for scientific and technological innovation. He pointed out that the development of degradable materials from the source is of great significance. The Marine Equipment Research Institute has always been committed to the research of Marine anti-corrosion materials and degradable materials. This joint construction also closely cooperations with the School of Chemical Engineering of the university. In the future, the research center should accelerate the pace of in-depth integration of industry, academia and research, and contribute to the country's environmental protection cause.

Before the meeting, the attending leaders and experts visited the exhibition hall of the achievements of the "Great Ocean" strategy.
The research center was jointly established by Xinsiyi and the Marine Advanced Materials Research Center of Shanghai Jiao Tong Marine Engineering Institute, with the participation of the School of Chemistry and Chemical Engineering in the cooperation. The Marine Advanced Materials Research Center of Haizhuang Institute has long been committed to the fundamental research and key technology development of Marine degradable materials. It has a profound theoretical foundation and rich industrialization experience in the fields of bio-based and degradable materials. Both sides aim to promote integrated research and industrial application of "green, low-carbon, bio-based and degradable" polymer materials, and jointly contribute to reducing reliance on fossil raw materials, minimizing plastic pollution and promoting sustainable development.
